The Jaybird X3 wireless headphones are the latest version of Jaybird’s sport Bluetooth headphones designed for working out and active use. Users can now customize the sound of the Jaybird X3 Bluetooth headphones using the iPhone or Android app that live on the headphones.
Jaybird makes some of the most well-known Bluetooth headphones for working out in, and the Jaybird X3 is the new version of the Jaybird X2. With the new customizable sound option, users can set an EQ and it will stay on the headphones across devices.
With SignalPlus antenna technology in place, the headphones can deliver better connectivity even when they stray from the source of music.
Jaybird announced the X3 at CES 2016 in Las Vegas in addition to the Jaybird Freedom headphones.
The Jaybird X3 retails for $149.99 and the release date is Q2 2016 at a variety of retailers.
With seven hour battery life, the Jaybird X3 should last for about a week of hour-long workouts, and there are voice prompts to let users know that it is connected and how much battery life is left.
Users can enjoy passive noise cancellation thanks to a tight seal. There are new earfins for the X3 headphones that keep the headphones still in your ears during workouts. This is in addition to the X-fit system and sweatproof coating that should deliver a comfortable fit and protection from sweaty workout sessions.
The headphones are smaller than the previous version, delivering a more compact design.
Jaybird promises that the X3 headphones ill stay in during extraneous workout sessions and buttons on the headphone line allow users to control calls and music.
The new X3 headphones are available in black, military green, red, tan and blue so users can match their style.
“Jaybird has always prided itself on delivering world-class sound, and the MySound app in both the new X3 and Freedom will give users audio control like they’ve never experienced in a wireless sport earbud,” continued Oehlerking. “We’re excited to give users full musical freedom to crank up the bass or fine tune for that perfect acoustic sound.”
Users can set the EQ once and it will carry across a variety of devices so that you can keep the sound quality and sound platform you want on your iPhone, Android, computer and tablet.
