With several super sweet Android smartphones and tablets just out or on the horizon many of you will upgrade your device in the near future. One of the downsides to doing this is that you have to start from scratch with some apps, notably games like Angry Birds.
If you haven’t completed the game yet, this is really annoying. Or, if you’re the type who struggled to get 3 stars on every level, you’re probably anal enough to need to do so again on your device.
Thankfully, apps exist that will solve this very important dilemma. One of the best is aptly named Angry Birds Backup and will work with the original game, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Space.
You don’t need to root your device or anything complicated, just install the app.
Angry Birds Backup will copy all of the necessary files from your current installation and either put them on the device’s SD card or into DropBox. Then all you need to do is copy or sync the file to your new device and re-install Angry Birds.
In order for the backup app to work you’ll need to clear at least one level. Then open it up, hit Restore, and you’re good to go.
