LG Eclipse Heading to AT&T and Sprint This Fall?

The LG Eclipse superphone has been tipped for a release on both AT&T and Sprint this fall.

Engadget has gotten a hold of the device’s User Agent Profile and has also found its Bluetooth 4.0 Certification and some benchmarks. The User Agent Profile confirms the device’s display resolution, the Bluetooth Certification reveals a possible release date and the benchmarks seem to confirm the device’s U.S. carriers.

Starting with the Bluetooth Certification, it lists the LG Eclipse as heading to North America around October 31st, 2012. That just so happens to be Halloween. Seeing as it’s June, it’s possible that that date will change.

The benchmarks, which come in the form of AnTuTu, Nenamark2, and GLBench list the device as coming to AT&T and Sprint. We had already heard Sprint mentioned as a possible carrier but it appears that AT&T is in the mix as well.

As for the User Agent Profile, it lists the Sprint device only, which checks in with model number LS970. The AT&T model is listed in the benchmarks as E970. The Sprint model’s User Agent Profile confirms its screen resolution of 1280 x 768. The benchmarks list the AT&T model as having 1280 x 720p resolution.

An earlier leak pegged the device as having a 4.67-inch HD display, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 13-megapixel camera, 16 GB storage, 2 GB RAM, and a capacious 2100 mAh battery.

There has also been talk of a quad-core processor although that didn’t show up today.

In any event, it appears that the phone we saw leak out on camera won’t be showing up in stores any time soon and once it does, it will likely face some hefty opposition from the likes of the iPhone 5 and more.
