The base version of the game is available on disk or digital and you can get it for $59.99 at almost any store that sells video games. This is the best option for the average gamer looking to get into a fun baseball sim without worrying about spending a lot of money post release to build up your team.
In the past this has been the version I bought, because I wanted a fun, up to date baseball game without diving into all the management and team building aspects. You can always buy packs later if you decide you want to invest more in the game, but you will spend more if you buy all the bonuses later in the game’s life.

You can get this on disc at most retailers. It’s an OK value since you are getting about $6 worth of Stubs and an array of other items, but if you are really looking for the maximum value, you’ll want to look at the other editions. This feels like an option only to give you another choice that pushes you up to the $99.99 versions of MLB The Show 19.

The best value in terms of extras is the Digital Deluxe edition that is only available through the PlayStation Store. This $99.99 version of MLB The Show 19 includes the following items;

MLB The Show 19 Disc or Digital?
With MLB The Show 19 you can buy the base game and the MVP edition on disc or digital, but the more expensive options are split between digital or disc. Thankfully the options are pretty close, so you don’t need to give up much to get your favorite option.
With the digital editions you no longer need to swap discs, which is a major plus if you switch between a few games each time you play. This method also lets you pre-load so that you can start playing immediately on the release date.
The upside to the physical version is that you can share it with a friend if they want to try the game out or you can sell it if you decide to move on to something else. This isn’t a huge reason if you want the more expensive edition, since you won’t be able to sell the digital extras and you won’t get a lot for a sports game once the initial release is done.
