While Motorola and Verizon did not disclose release dates for either the Droid RAZR HD or the Droid RAZR MAXX HD, October should now be on consumers radar now that Motorola announced the Droid RAZR HD for Germany in October.
Motorola recently announced the Droid RAZR HD for Germany which could mean that the Droid RAZR HD and the Droid RAZR MAXX HD, which will presumably launch at the same time, could also land in Verizon during that month as well.
It would be extremely odd to see a region that wasn’t announced after the Droid RAZR HD launch date earlier this month get the device before the region that was announced at the launch date so at this point, the device’s look pretty good for October launches.
Thus far, Motorola and Verizon have yet to confirm anything which means that at this point, interested parties are still officially in the dark when it comes to any specifics.
However, we wouldn’t bet against October at this point, especially not when the Galaxy Note 2 is rumored to launch in October and with the iPhone set to launch in a few days.
Of course, it’s entirely possible that the Droid RAZR HD and the Droid RAZR MAXX HD will come at a later date, we’ve heard October or November rumored as release months in the past, so November certainly remains a possibility as well.
The Droid RAZR HD and the Droid RAZR MAXX HD will join the recently released Droid RAZR M as Motorola’s smartphone offerings for this holiday season.
They will replace both the Droid RAZR and the Droid RAZR MAXX, both of which were successful, and they both will feature high-resolution displays, 4G LTE speeds, and fast processors.
However, where they differ is the size of battery. The Droid RAZR MAXX HD will boast a 3,300 mAh battery, which is top of the line battery life. The Droid RAZR HD will feature a 2,500 mAh battery which is large as well.
Pricing for both devices is not currently known.
