Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX UK Release Date Confirmed

Those in the United Kingdom who have been waiting to get a hold of one of the best Android smartphones on the market will be pleased to know that a UK retailer has outed the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX release date in the UK.

Clove UK has confirmed that it will be stocking the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX and its massive 3,300 mAh battery starting May 18th, a date that falls into the same launch month that Motorola announced back in April.

Motorola, for its part, has remained mum on a specific release date for the Droid RAZR MAXX but it’s pretty safe to say that if Clove is stocking the phone on May 18th, that’s probably the date that it’s going to be rolling out.

After all, the device has been up for pre-order since the end of April so it’s no surprise that retailers are going to be getting the device out to customers soon.

The Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX is still one of the best Android smartphones on the market and a lot of that has to do with the massive battery that it has, 3,300 mAh to be exact, which allows for lengthy usage.

Motorola was able to pack in that massive of a battery but keep the slimness of the phone intact. The Droid RAZR MAXX checks in at 8.9mm, which is thinner than a lot of phones on the market.

It also features a spacious 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1GB of RAM, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, an 8MP rear camera, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The UK version of the phone won’t have access to the 4G LTE speeds that the Verizon model does however.

hm not so sure about that processor, it would make little sense not to upgrade it – the razr/razr maxx has some lag issues due to system resources, though it’s a bit better than say nexus; no way this can be done on a9 /w 1.2ghz when all the rest have the 1.5ghz s3 snap.
