Motorola Schedules Event for 10/18, Droid RAZR, Spyder or Xoom RAZR Imminent?

Motorola has sent out invites to a press event on October 18th. This event could be where Motorola announces the Motorola Droid RAZR, Spyder or even a Xoom RAZR tablet.

In the invite, Motorola asks us to , “Join us to celebrate the next big innovation from Motorola Mobility.” The image included teases that we will see something, “Faster. Thinner. Smarter. Stronger.”

Xoom RAZR invite

Will Motorola Introduce the Droid RAZR, Xoom RAZR or Droid Sypder on 10/18?

Right now we believe the Droid RAZR will have a qHD display, with a 960×540 resolution, but we don’t know if it will be Pentile or not. The first benchmark shows a 1.2GHz TI OMAP4430 processor, but it could possibly show up with a 1.5GHz processor. The naming of this device is all over the map with possibilities ranging from the Motorola Droid RAZR to Motorola Spyder or just Droid HD. The email image includes the name “spyder” in it, which makes us think it is a possibility, but the RAZR name has such a huge brand recognition factor.

Another possibility is that we will see the Xoom RAZR tablet announced at the October 18th event. We saw a pair of Motorola tablets in September that could easily be 10 inch and 8 inch Motorola Xoom RAZR tablets. These devices are reportedly just a bit thicker than the iPhone 4. The smaller 8.2″ tablet may ship with an IR controller so that you can control it with a remote as part of your home entertainment. It may also have a subwoofer built in. We expect both of these devices to have 4G LTE connectivity.

Stay tuned for more on these new Motorola devices, and how they stack up to the HTC Vigor and Samsung Nexus Prime.

Too bad one of the four reasons isn’t bug-free.  It would be nice to get a device that doesn’t re-boot itself on occasion, the sound system sucks and the camera is sub-standard.

Bug Free as in not humanly possible for any earthly individual or device including the CrApple FauxG iFauxphone 4s! lol….. w/ it’s Snail speed slow 3G (that’s what the S stands for btw)! ;P  But hey… this new phone was heavily influenced by Google and remember they are the ones who decided that the Prime should look like a Pininfarina designed race car, rather than a Utilitarian Surgical Steel and Breakable Faux Gorilla Glass Slab. You know…. like what iPhone 4s was designed as! lol…. Me? I expect Moto, HTC and Samsung to all be sporting slim, tasty and fast Ice Cream Sandwich out the door. With each announcing new models on the 18th. That’s the wonder of really having a CHOICE unlike CrApple’s Big Brother approach w/ their “1984 DoubleThink” RDF infused Thought Police control slogans, tactics and devices:

“War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength”

btw… remember Steve died so he could be reincarnated and return as Siri. In order to keep all iPhone user’s from ever accessing porn or FLASH 11 online!  ….er but I think he got misplaced and is actually in a Foxconn Worker’s body instead. So…. hey, he still seems to be in control of Siri. Seems he accomplished his Buddhist goal anyway! ;-P

I think its obvious the phone will be called the Droid Razr based on the video. Just cause the Bionic sucks doesn’t mean the Razr will. Every company misses the mark once in a while. The HTC Thunderbolt, the Samsung Droid Charge. Now that they all released their first VZW 4G LTE and got their feet wet it’s time to roll out the big guns.

Every Motorola Droid thus far has been an utter disappointment!

The OG Droid was great. I still have it. I never had any big issues with it. A small glitch here and there that was easy to fix.
