Shortly after the Nexus 4 16GB saw its shipping times ease to one to two weeks, the Nexus 4 8GB has followed suite and the device, which had stood at two to three weeks since shortly after it had arrived back on the Google Play Store after a sell out, is now readily available for customers to buy.
Earlier this week, the Nexus 4 16GB saw its shipping times shift from two to three weeks to one to two weeks, a sign that shipping times were not only getting better but that they were holding firm after a lengthy sell out. Previously, the device had seen its shipping times increase after going back on sale in the Google Play Store for the third time.
Same for the Nexus 8GB which arrived back on the Google Play Store only to see it shipping times shift to two to three weeks. Now though, it appears that the device has leveled out like the 16GB model has as it is now listed as shipping out in one to two weeks, the best estimate that Google has given since the device re-emerged.
Of course, as we have seen, Google typically ships out Nexus 4 orders much faster than that so customers who do buy the device will likely see their shipments ahead out well ahead of schedule.
What’s important though is that LG has seemingly kept its word. The company stated that it would have the Nexus 4 supply issues ironed out in the middle of February and it looks like that very thing has taken place. Both devices are available through the Google Play Store, T-Mobile and various retailers have the T-Mobile variant up for sale and Google even added a tool for customers to find stores that sell the smartphone.
This is the most available that Google’s current Nexus smartphone has been since it launched alongside the Nexus 7 3G, Nexus 10 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean back in November and it likely means that it’s here to stay.
Rumors suggest it could be joined on the Google Play Store by the Motorola X Phone, possibly this summer, but a launch isn’t expected until Google I/O set to take place in May.
