Nexus 4 Orders Shipping Swiftly

Published

on

Yesterday, the Nexus 4 finally returned to stock in the Google Play Store, allowing interested consumers to place an order for the first time since December. And while the return wasn’t swift, it appears that the shipping turnaround from yesterday is as future Nexus 4 owners are claiming that their orders, placed yesterday, are already shipping out.

Two days ago, Google changed the language on the Nexus 4’s Google Play landing page from ‘Sold Out’ to ‘Temporarily Out of Stock.’ A day later, the Nexus 4 made its triumphant return to the Google Play Store in the United States, Germany and Canada and also in both the UK and France as well.

The Nexus 4 is now shipping out to some of those that ordered through the Google Play Store.

Those who placed orders in many of those regions yesterday were the first customers to be able to do that since December when the 16GB Nexus 4 went out of stock through Google. Fortunately, it looks like some of those who did indeed place orders yesterday aren’t going to have to wait a month for their device to arrive on their doorstep.

According to several future Nexus 4 owners who placed orders yesterday, both the 8GB and 16GB Nexus 4 models are now shipping to customers which means that at least a few of those who ordered yesterday will be receiving their brand new device by the end of the week.

We can’t say the same for every single person who ordered the Nexus 4 yesterday as we’ve heard from more than a few buyers who still haven’t received word about when their package will ship. XDA-Developers Forum also shows a mixed bag of results as well. We don’t expect lengthy waits for the rest of those who placed orders on its first day of availability though as the Nexus 4 remains in stock through the Google Play Store.

Right now, both the 8GB and 16GB Nexus 4 models both sit with shipping times of one to two weeks, the same shipping times that were listed yesterday at the Google Play Store. While this isn’t confirmation to the end of the supply issues that have impacted the Nexus 4 since November, it’s a solid sign nonetheless.

LG said that supply issues should be eradicated by mid-February and it appears that in some regions at least, Spain is evidently sold out of the Nexus 4 again, the remedy has come a bit early.

Google confirmed to Gotta Be Mobile that Nexus 4 orders are indeed shipping.

No… there’s a SIM card slot next to the power button or volume controls on the other side.
