When it comes to choosing a phone another important thing is specs. How powerful and future-proof a phone is. Last year the LG G6 arrived with an old and outdated processor, and less RAM, and instantly lost to the competition. That's not the case this year. In fact, the LG G7 ThinQ is a top-tier phone across the board.

That's nice and all, but the OnePlus 6 matches it, or beats it, for less money.

• Snapdragon 845 Processor with 6-8GB of RAM (Same processor as S9)
• 64 or 128GB of storage, no microSD slot, potentially a 256GB option
• 12MP and secondary 20MP rear cameras with an f/1.7 aperture, and more
• 16MP front-facing selfie camera
• Android 8.1 Oreo (or Android P beta)
• Rear fingerprint scanner, Fast Face Unlock, more
• 3,500 mAh battery with fast Dash Charging (or 3,300 mAh again)
• 3.5 mm headphone jack, BT 5.0, NFC, 4G LTE, alert slider
• more

As you can see these are two very similar smartphones across the board. We are hearing the OP6 might have a bigger screen. Then, you'll get the option for more storage, you have a different camera setup, and the OP6 can try Android P ahead of the August release date. 

The biggest thing for me, personally, is the bigger battery in the OnePlus 6. That's important and makes a big difference. LG really dropped the ball on that one.
