Outer Rim Star Wars Battlefront DLC: 5 Reasons to Get Excited

Greedo and Nien Nunb

The Outer Rim teaser that EA/DICE sent out a few days ago hinted at it and we finally have confirmation: Greedo and Nien Nunb are the new characters coming in Outer Rim and we couldn't be more excited. Bossk would've been great but these two are tremendous additions.

Their abilities aren't know yet but the announcement suggests that Greedo will be using his trusty pistol and Nien Nunb will be more of a ranged character with targeting capabilities. In other words, they should be very different from each other. 

Greedo was one of the characters I wanted from the Battlefront DLC and here he is. I cannot wait for the first confrontation with Han Solo. (For what it's worth, DICE's lead designer says that he wiped the floor with Han as Greedo.)

While it would've been great to see Ben Kenobi, I'm glad that we're getting some more non-Jedi characters to use. Now all we need is Grand Moff Tarkin in the upcoming Death Star DLC expansion and we're set.

Oh, and it also helps that those of us with the DLC will be able to use these characters against those who don't have Outer Rim. That's extremely exciting, even if you don't approve of EA going with Greedo and Nien Nunb over the likes the Obi Wan.
