Galaxy S9+ vs Pixel 3 XL: Price

Galaxy S9+ vs Pixel 3 XL: Price

And finally, the last and potentially most important question you must ask yourself. How much are these big phones, and can I afford one?

Well, the Galaxy S9+ is available as we speak around the globe and costs $839 from most carriers, or $739 on Samsung.com. That's a pretty great price for that phone.

Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are available now for pre-order and hit Verizon shelves on October 18th. Pre-orders and in-store availability will be the 19th elsewhere.

  • Galaxy S9+ 64GB - $739 or more
  • Pixel 3 XL 64GB - $899 Pixel 3 XL 128GB - $999

Basically, if you don't need 128GB of storage and are ok with 64GB, you can save over $100 by getting a Galaxy S9+ from Samsung's online shop. Carriers want $839 though, making this battle a lot closer.

We wanted to see a lower price this year, or other carriers supported, but neither happened with Google. You can, however, use the Pixel 3 on most carriers if you get the unlocked model from the Google Store. Does this all help you decide which phone to buy? Grab the S9+ today, wait for the Pixel 3 XL, or maybe even wait for the OnePlus 6T.
