Real Racing 3 Update: What You Need to Know
Electronic Arts has some of the most popular racing games on the planet for mobile devices. The more realistic of the bunch, Real Racing 3, just received a big update this week with tons of new content. From new cars like the Aston Martin Vulcan, new challenges and more. Die-hard racers will want to read on to see what’s new, and start saving up or preparing for some brand new never seen before super-cars.
Real Racing 3 has continued to be one of the most popular racing games on iPhone and Android for its realistic racing style, along with EA’s other game, the arcade-style Need for Speed: No Limits. Both games have their advantages, but for those wanting a real challenge Real Racing 3 is it.
The game has been available for a long time on Android and iPhone, but that doesn’t mean it’s getting old. In fact, Electronic Arts continuously updates it with more features, new race tracks, brand new “hypercars” and more to keep players interested. There are a lot of in-app purchases that can get extremely expensive, and today they unveiled some awesome new additions worth saving up for, or spending money on.
Real Racing 3 is a free-to-play title, but as we mentioned above, there are dozens and dozens of in-app purchases. From buying new cars, unlocking parts or timers and more. It’s a money pit for those who love the game and don’t want to slowly save up in-game currency, and today we have even more to share with racers.
This week both the Android and iOS version of Real Racing 3 received one of the bigger updates we’ve seen in a while. Above is a brand new video showing off four brand new vehicles they’re calling “hypercars” not super-cars, because they’re just that fast, and some of the most exclusive and rarest cars on the planet. This update brings new cars, more challenges, improved team goals and more rewards than ever. Saving up is hard enough already, but extra rewards and team goals should help out. Here’s what’s new:
The four impressive new super-cars announced above will be available to purchase, for likely way too much real money. Or racers can save up and buy them with in-game currency. Electronic Arts also confirmed those four new cars can be unlocked completely free with upcoming events as detailed above. The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 can be won in the “Ride the Storm” tournament on December 7-10th, and the others can be won in upcoming challenges that will be released in the next few weeks.
