If you are looking forward to trying the public macOS Sierra beta in July or plan to try the macOS Sierra beta right now, you should wait for that instead ofupgrading right now.
The macOS Sierra beta will arrive for the public in July. You can register for it now and get on the list for when Apple allows users to test it. As far as we know you will be able to go directly from OS X Yosemite to macOS Sierra, so there is no reason to upgrade in right before testing a beta. Keep in mind that the macOS Sierra release date is set for the fall, so if you upgrade to the beta, you will be running trial software for a while. |
