One of the primary reasons to install OS X El Capitan now is that you want access to the new features.

The OS X 10.11 update includes a number of changes including a new way to quickly snap two windows on the screen side-by side for enhanced productivity and an improved way to use multiple desktops and spaces.

Apple also includes a new system font, an easier way to find your mouse on a large screen, performance enhancements, new spotlight features and improved OS X apps like Mail, Photos and Notes.
