It looks like Madden 19 will include a new story mode, but there is almost no chance that you will see Longshot story mode from Madden 18 to Madden 19. 

If you want to experience the Longshot Story mode you will need to buy Madden 18 and play it there. Even if the same story doesn't continue into Madden, you may want to play through the current one as it is quite good. 

The Longshot Story mode is a fun way to experience Madden, but it is very scripted, so if you don't want to play through a movie-like experience you may want to skip this reason.
