Samsung Galaxy 3D Smartphone Launching Later This Year?
A rumor out of Korean website ETNews claims that Samsung is working on a 3D smartphone, possibly called the Galaxy 3D, that is set to be launched sometime in Q4 of this year, just in time for the holiday season.

If true, it means that Samsung is likely preparing to do battle with devices like the the LG Optimus 3D on a global scale and maybe even phones like the LG Thrill 4G (the American Optimus 3D) and the HTC EVO 3D in the United States. Details are murky at this point but the report claims that it’s going to be an Android 2.3 device and will be upgraded to a later version of Android after launch.
Other specs are rumored to include a 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, a 4.3-inch 3D LCD screen, as well as dual 8MP cameras for 3D capture. It’ll also apparently have HDMI slot on board as well.
Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on right now, but it looks like it could be an extremely attractive offering for those that want to hop aboard the 3D smartphone train.

Oh no, not another manufacturer on the 3D bandwagon! Enough already! At the very least I hope they charge a big premium for it and still offer normal versions at lower cost as I don’t want to be forced to pay extra for a function I’ll never use!
