Samsung Galaxy Nexus Hitting Canada on December 8th
We had heard that Verizon might be getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on December 8th and while that’s still up in the air, two Canadian carriers today announced that the device will in fact be available on that date. Bell and Virgin Mobile will both be offering the Galaxy Nexus on the 8th and pre-orders for the device are available at this very moment.
Bell will be offering up the Galaxy Nexus for $159.95 on a new three year contract while Virgin Mobile will be offering it for the more expensive price of $159.99. Yes, five cents more.
In addition, Bell is offering a Twitter Line-up where the carrier will ensure that 100 people get the device on launch day.
Sign-in on December 1st, snag a pre-populated tweet and you’ll be able to reserve a spot in a virtual line. Not a bad call if you’re worried about lines or availability on launch day.
As for those of you in the U.S., Verizon has still not announced anything official but the fact that it’s at least headed to a couple of carriers on December 8th bodes fairly well for those hoping to snag Big Red’s version.
