Samsung has all but confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 launch date as August 15th.
According to Engadget, the company has sent out another press invite for its August 15th event that depicts a frame of an unnamed device. The device clearly resembles a tablet though and that seems to be a pretty good indication that the company will unveil the Galaxy Note 10.1 once again on August 15th.
This is not surprising at all considering Samsung decided to announce that it is indeed unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at an event in Berlin, Germany on August 29th.
Samsung originally announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 all the way back at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in February. However, since then, the company has remained relatively quiet about the device.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 itself hasn’t been quiet though as it has leaked out on numerous occasions even appearing for pre-order at several retailers including Amazon.
And while the specifications of the device remain unconfirmed, we have a pretty good bead on what to expect from the device’s hardware.
A Galaxy Note 10.1 manual leaked out yesterday and if it’s to be believed, the device sports a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 10.1-inch WXGA (1280×768) display and can use the special S-Pen, a 5MP camera that can shoot 720p video, and a variety of sensors.
The version of Android on board, Android 4.0 or Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, remains unknown.
Also a mystery is its release date. We assume Samsung will launch the device in the U.S. shortly after the announcement but as of right now, no date has leaked out.
Look for the Galaxy Note 10.1 to launch on August 15th.
