The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 launch could take place at an Samsung Unpacked event on August 30th at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, Germany.
The claim of an August 30th launch for the Galaxy Note comes from Korean publication DDaily, by way of SamMobile, who says that the company will take the wraps off of its newest Galaxy Note phablet during the month of August.
This date comes a day earlier than the August 31st launch date for the Galaxy Note 2 that we had heard about just a short time ago.
Still, it’s looking like the IFA tradeshow is, as of right now, the likely place for a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 announcement and those who are interested in the follow-up to the original 5.3-inch Galaxy Note device should circle both August 30th and August 31st in pencil.
IFA is still 50 days away but already we have seen the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 leak out several times. Those leaks have not confirmed any features on Samsung’s new device but they have helped paint a picture as to what consumers should expect when the device does indeed touch down.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Rumors
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is supposedly going to feature a design that is similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S III which launched back in May. That means a design “inspired by nature” which means a design that should be fairly minimalistic and include curves.
As for the rest of the Galaxy Note 2, we’ve heard that Samsung might bump the Galaxy Note 2’s screen to 5.5-inches and outfit it with 1680 x 1050 resolution.
In addition, it’s said to feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1.5GB of RAM and 4G LTE connectivity. It also could come with a Samsung Exynos quad-core processor.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Release Date
We originally heard that the device might not arrive until October but it appears that September is now the month that has been pegged as the Galaxy Note 2’s release month.
No specific date is know but if Samsung does indeed announce the device at the end of August, a September release date ahead of the iPhone 5 in October makes sense.
