Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features continue to take shape ahead of the device’s expected launch in September ahead of the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, Germany.
While Samsung still has yet to confirm the Galaxy Note 3 for arrival, it’s clear that the Galaxy Note 2 has a successor on the way. From specification leaks, to photo leaks, to benchmarks, to a whole lot of foreshadowing from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 3 has seen it all. And with all of the information that has leaked out, we’re starting to see features pop up over and over and over again, all but confirming them for arrival.
Today’s leak is in the form of a benchmark, discovered by RBMen, for variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 dubbed SM-N900L and SM-N00S. These are believed to be models that are destined for Korea. While benchmarks can be faked, these aren’t anything outlandish and line up with everything we’ve seen emerge before, benchmark or not.
The benchmarks show off several features that we’ve heard about numerous times before. Namely, a speedy processor, current Android software and a high resolution display. The benchmarks seemingly confirm a 1080p display for arrival, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at a whopping 2.3GHz, and Android 4.3 though Samsung is apparently testing with Android 4.2.
All of these line up with what we’ve heard in the past about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and while not confirmed, they are more than likely going to emerge on at least some variants of the Galaxy Note 3.
Other rumored features are said to include 3GB of RAM and a Exynos 5 Octa processor, both of which were announced by Samsung just a few days ago and are expected to hit production just ahead of September, in time for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch.
Samsung is expected to debut the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at IFA in early September with September 4th currently pegged as a possible launch date for the Galaxy Note 2 successor.
While Galaxy Note 3 features continue to firm up, the design of the Galaxy Note 3 remains a bit of a mystery as photos of the Galaxy Note 3 continue to show case prototypes rather than the device itself. Samsung typically keeps its designs, at least for flagships, under wraps until just a few days before the launch.
What this means is that the Galaxy Note 3 itself may not leak out until late August if the launch date holds up. That said, the rest of its features should be known ahead of time.
