Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Photographs Itself
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 seems to have photographed itself though the photo-op unfortunately has not revealed anything about the upcoming flagship as the device’s design, despite numerous photo leaks, remains elusive.
It’s becoming clear that Samsung has something major planned for early September ahead of the IFA 2013 trade show and it’s clear that the device is a new Samsung Galaxy Note that will replace the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The device, dubbed Galaxy Note 3, has been making the rumor rounds ahead of its eventual launch and while we have nailed down some specifications, 3GB of RAM and a quad-core processing power to name a few, the Galaxy Note 3 itself remains evasive.

Over the past few months, there have been plenty of alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 3 photos that have emerged though none of them have offered a clear glimpse at the Galaxy Note 3’s design. Instead, we’ve seen what appear to be prototypes or the Galaxy Note 3 stuck in a casing, hiding its design from view. Samsung is known to go to great lengths to protect its designs and we’re seeing that in play again with the Galaxy Note 3.
The latest photo might be the most interesting Galaxy Note 3 photo that we’ve seen emerge yet. An image, discovered by RBMen on Picasa, shows a photo taken by a device called SM-N9005, a variant of the Galaxy Note 3 which is thought to be SM-N9000. We’ve seen images shot by the Galaxy Note 3 camera before but this one reveals something interesting.
It appears that the Galaxy Note 3 has taken a photo of the Galaxy Note 3 though the device appears to be a prototype or using a case that shields its actual design.
Dummy Galaxy Note 3 units will likely appear several more times over the next few weeks in the build up to the Galaxy Note 3 launch. However, consumers should expect to see the Galaxy Note 3 itself emerge from hiding ahead of time.
Typically, Galaxy devices leak out a day or two ahead of their launch event and with September 4th pinpointed as the Galaxy Note 3 launch date, it could be that we see it emerge in late August or early September.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 13MP camera, quad-core processor, and Google’s latest software, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

How would you possibly know that from these pictures? The most I can say is that this “dummy” case in the reflection looks like it will be sporting square corners; which will be a design change from the previous notes. However this is a huge speculation because we don’t know if this is the real Note 3 or just a dummy case, that’s as far as we can go to get a “clear” understanding of what the Note 3 may look like.
