The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could beat the iPhone 5S to shelves with a Galaxy Note 3 release date now pegged for September 16th in the United Kingdom.
Rumors have been swirling ahead of the Galaxy Note 3 launch date in Berlin, Germany on September 4th. Many of those rumors have centered around the Galaxy Note 3 release date which has been projected to land sometime in September. Whispers indicated that the device could land in the United Kingdom in late September while another rumor claimed it would hit Taiwan on September 27th in Taiwan with a pre-order starting on September 16th.
A new leak from Engadget suggests that that September 16th might be more than just a pre-order in some countries as a leaked document from carrier Three UK seems to point to the carrier offering the Galaxy Note 3 on September 16th. While it could refer to a pre-order date ahead of a release later in the month, the fact that other device’s are listed as “Now” could mean that it refers to an actual release.
Dates of course can change but this is definitely another sign pointing to a fast Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release instead of a slow one like last year’s Galaxy Note 2 release. Samsung has been going to great lengths to shorten the cap between launch and release and if September 16th is the real deal, it could be the shortest gap yet for the Galaxy Note 3.
At the very least, it’s looking like the Galaxy Note 3 will be released for order on or around September 16th, a date that has now surfaced not once, but twice.
If it does refer to the release date, it could mean that the Galaxy Note 3 will be released prior to the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5S is expected to replace the iPhone 5 and it’s rumored to be coming out on September 20th, just four days after this rumored date.
The iPhone 5S is expected to be one of the many Galaxy Note 3 competitors that arrive this fall, a list that also includes the Xperia Z Ultra and HTC One Max.
Samsung’s new Galaxy Note phablet is expected to have a large 5.68-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and brand new S Pen features.
Rumors insist upon it arriving for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon in the United States and while some of those carriers matched the Galaxy S4 release date of carriers in the United Kingdom, it’s not clear if they will match the Galaxy Note 3 release should it arrive in September 16th in the UK.
