Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date Mystery Finally Solved

The final Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date mystery in the United States has finally been solved as regional carrier U.S. Cellular finally issued a release date and pricing for the Galaxy Note 3 saying that the device is available today and that it will be offered for the same on-contract price as the ones found at AT&T and Verizon.

In early September, carriers in the United States announced that they would be carrying the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. And with Samsung announcing an October release date in the United States, most assumed that carriers there would launch the device within those dates. So it was not surprising when AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon all confirmed the device for arrival inside October, almost right off the bat. However, both Sprint and U.S. Cellular took their time and made buyers wait.

Sprint cleared things up in late September leaving U.S. Cellular as the only carrier left without a Galaxy Note 3 release date and pricing. And as other carriers launched their devices, U.S. Cellular remained silent. Until today. Today the company announced that the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are both available today, online and in-stores.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 arrives on steps timed to the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 release.

The carrier, it seems, will only have the Jet Black model available and it will be selling it for $299.99 on-contract, same price as AT&T and Verizon, and a little cheaper than the $350 price found at Sprint. The company will also be offering the Galaxy Gear accessory and it will be putting a $299.99 premium on the device. It will come in Jet Black and Orange.

So after a little more than a month, all five known U.S. Galaxy Note 3 carriers have the device for sale, completing a journey that began on September 4th and was much shorter than the path to the Galaxy Note 2’s release last year.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the company’s second flagship smartphone release of the year and it comes touting a 5.7-inch 1080p display, speedy quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, upgraded S Pen, and enhanced multitasking.
