The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, which debuted at Mobile World Congress last month, was announced in only one color, marble white. However, it appears, thanks to a leaked photo, that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 may also be coming in another color, charcoal black.
At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Samsung didn’t announce the Samsung Galaxy S4, but it did show off its new iPad mini competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, a device that sports an 8-inch display, quad-core processor, 16GB of storage, a massive battery, a 5MP camera up front and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The device also comes with Samsung’s unique S-Pen, a stylus that is also found on Samsung’s other large-screened devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note 10.1.
And while Samsung only showed off the device in marble white at the event, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 might be coming in a black shade as well.
PhoneArena has dug up what looks like a press image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 in a charcoal black color. The device looks exactly the same as the white Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 only it depicts a device with a black shade. It’s unclear if this device will be available at launch or, better yet, if it’s indeed the real deal.
We haven’t seen a black Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 show up in the flesh just yet and Samsung has not yet announced a black Galaxy Note 8.0 for release alongside the white version in the second quarter.
Interestingly, this is the same color scheme that we’ve heard might be coming with the Samsung Galaxy S4. A recent rumor suggested that Samsung will be ditching the blue and white color scheme that arrived with the Galaxy S3 and move to black and white versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4. It is also said to be releasing three storage variants of the Galaxy S4 including 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models.
A previous rumor suggested that the Galaxy S4 could look similar to the Galaxy Note 8.0 so it could be that this leak is a bit of a foreshadowing of things to come.
