Samsung Galaxy S II Coming to AT&T, Sprint and Verizon
While we had thought that the Samsung Galaxy S II would be coming to AT&T and T-Mobile at the very least, it appears that it will be AT&T, Sprint and Verizon getting the device when it arrives in the United States, this according to a product description on a third party retailers site.
Wireless Xcessories Group has put up a page that has not only revealed the Samsung Galaxy II’s destinations but also its name on each carrier when it does arrive. On AT&T, it will be the Samsung Galaxy S II Attain, Sprint will get the Galaxy S II Within and Verizon will have the Samsung Galaxy S II Function.
As you can see, there is no listing for a T-Mobile version of the phone, something that had leaked out a couple of times – even by T-Mobile itself – which makes the fact that it’s missing extremely odd.
It’s possible that T-Mobile will be getting a different version of the phone, think Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint, so there is no reason to get down yet if you were hoping to get your hands on a T-Mobile version of this device.
This is the first real confirmation we’ve had that it would be coming to Sprint and Verizon and that has to be exciting for those of you who were crossing your fingers hoping that it would.
Now, all we need is a release date, pricing and a pre-order date that will surely add to Samsung’s 3 million+ pre-orders.
