In the weeks leading up to the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch, rumors swirled about a smaller Galaxy S4 Mini that would come for those that didn’t want the massive Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 is a 5-inch smartphone, too big for some peoples tastes. Samsung launched a Galaxy S3 Mini last year for select markets for that very reason.

It wasn’t until a few days ago that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was seemingly confirmed and now, just shortly after the Galaxy S4 launch, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has seemingly been confirmed by Samsung.

Samsung tells Bloomberg that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be out soon after the Galaxy S4. However, a rumor from SamMobile suggests that soon doesn’t necessarily mean right after the Galaxy S4’s late April release date. Instead, it looks like the device will arrive sometime during the month of June. No specific date is mentioned for the release and it’s unclear if the device will be coming to markets outside of Europe.

The Galaxy S3 Mini was only available in certain markets and never made an arrival in the United States where sales were completely dominated by the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

At the very least, the Galaxy S4 Mini doesn’t appear to be matching the Galaxy S4 release date and will be coming out to markets after the company releases its flagship smartphone, the larger Galaxy S4.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will certainly be an attractive device if rumors shape up. The device is said to have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with 256ppi, 1.6GHz dual-core processor though rumors suggest it may also have a quad-core processor, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean along with Samsung’s new TouchWiz interface, Nature UX 2.0.

It also looks like it will come in both LTE and HSPA+ form.
