While Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders in the United States are apparently a few weeks away, Galaxy S4 pre-orders for the United Kingdom are now in full swing ahead of its release date in late April.
Yesterday, we learned that Carphone Warehouse would be taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 today but we didn’t realize that today would mark a full-fledged pre-order amongst several carriers and retailers. Indeed, the Galaxy S4 pre-order period in the UK is now in full swing, encompassing a number of different options for potential Galaxy S4 buyers.
The Galaxy S4 is now open for pre-order not only through several retailers including Carphone Warehouse and Amazon, but there are now a number of carriers that are taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 as well.
One of them, EE, will be the only network in the United Kingdom that provides 4G LTE data speeds. The other carriers include T-Mobile, Orange, Three UK, Vodafone and of course, O2. All of them are now hosting open season for the Galaxy S4 and those that wish to get the device on release day will certainly want to think about throwing in for a pre-order.
Much like in the United States, the carriers are retailers are offering the devices for different prices. That means that those in the UK who wish to buy a Galaxy S4 will certainly want to weigh their options before taking the plunge early.
The pre-orders trump the Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders in other regions of the world where specific release dates are hard to come by. So far, we’ve seen the United Kingdom confirmed for Galaxy S4 release dates on April 25th and April 26th while T-Mobile USA has confirmed May 1st as its Galaxy S4 release date.
Earlier today, AT&T confirmed that it would be taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 starting on April 16th but it did not provide many details other than that date and its $249.99 price tag, which may or may not be for the 32GB model.
Despite a release date, T-Mobile has not said whether it will be taking pre-orders and the other Galaxy S4 carriers in the U.S. which include Sprint, U.S. Cellular and Verizon have remained mum on specifics.
