As we inch closer to Samsung’s Unpacked event on March 1st, we continue to get bombarded by Galaxy S6 rumors. Today’s alleged information comes from a couple of benchmarks that offer a close look at the Samsung Galaxy S6 specs that could be on board one of the variants that’s expected to arrive in just a few short weeks.

At the start of the month, Samsung confirmed an Unpacked event for March 1st at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. While the company didn’t spell out what it will be announcing, it’s clear that the event will be used to showcase the Samsung Galaxy S6, its sixth-generation Galaxy S, and a device that will replace the Galaxy S5 as the company’s flagship smartphone.

For weeks, Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors have swirled as Samsung works behind the scenes on the Galaxy S6 release. Rumors have touched on virtually all aspects of the flagship including its specifications. Galaxy S6 specs are expected to include a series of powerful features including an upgraded display, camera and more. Thanks to a series of new alleged benchmarks, those Galaxy S6 specs have firmed up again ahead of launch.

Two new benchmarks for a known Galaxy S6 model number have shown up at AnTuTu and Geekbench today. The benchmarks are models that are expected to fall under the Galaxy S6 Edge umbrella. The Galaxy S6 Edge is rumored to be a higher-end model with a curved display. Unlike the Galaxy Note Edge, another curved smartphone, the Galaxy S6 Edge is expected to feature a display that’s bent on both sides.

These benchmarks are extensive and they reveal a number of potential Galaxy S6 specifications. While not confirmed, all of these specifications match the Galaxy S6 rumors that have been teasing consumers for several long weeks. In all, there are seven key alleged Galaxy S6 specs that have emerged thanks to these benchmarks.

First, the screen size. While Galaxy S6 rumors have gone back and forth, it appears that these models will boast a 5.1-inch display. This is similar to the display found on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and smaller than the display on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The AnTuTu benchmark also shows 2K display resolution, a feature that’s rumored to be on board the Galaxy S6. If true, the device would at least match the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The two variants are utilizing Samsung’s Exynos 7420 processor. The benchmarks show that the Galaxy S6 could find itself amongst the most powerful devices on the market. As SamMobile notes, its scores are higher than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s scores. The Galaxy Note 4 utilizes a Snapdragon 805 processor from Qualcomm.

Also featured are the two cameras. It appears that the device could come with a 20MP camera, we’ve also heard 16MP, and a 5MP front-facing camera for video-chatting. The benchmarks don’t offer sample photos. The device also appears to utilize 3GB of RAM to back up its powerful processor and 32GB of internal storage. Last year’s Galaxy S5 came with just 16GB of internal storage.

These Galaxy S6 spec leaks come just a few short weeks before Samsung’s expected to show off the Galaxy S6 on stage at Mobile World Congress 2015. There, the company will likely confirm many of these Galaxy S6 specs as well as the elusive Samsung Galaxy S6 release date.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 release is all but confirmed for all five major U.S. carriers though a specific release date remains out of reach at this time. Galaxy S6 release date rumors have hinted at an early release, perhaps two to three weeks earlier than usual. That would put the Galaxy S6 release date in late March or early April.
