Don't Expect Tons of Star Wars The Force Awakens Content

If you're hoping for a ton of Star Wars: The Force Awakens content, now is the time to start tempering those expectations because EA and DICE have made it clear that the upcoming DLC will be focused on the original trilogy of Star Wars films.

In response to questions about the unannounced Battlefront DLC, EA confirmed that its focused on delivering content from the original films in this version of Star Wars Battlefront. DICE's lead developer has confirmed the same thing.

It hasn't ruled out delivering content from the Force Awakens in future games though. (And technically, it hasn't ruled out additional Force Awakens content in Battlefront, we just wouldn't expect a lot of it if it does emerge later this year.)

Instead, expect the Star Wars Battlefront DLC to focus in on weapons, planets, heroes, and villains from the original films.

We're hoping the company delivers Yoda, Chewbacca, Lando, Greedo, and others but nothing is confirmed yet.
