Those in the hunt for a new smartphone have been treated to a busy past few months with the arrival of two big name smartphones in the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. In particular, those looking at devices on AT&T have been spoiled as the carrier currently holds a couple of major exclusives that are sure to be tempting to consumers.

After a relatively quiet first part of the year, the smartphone scene has exploded with a number of new entries to the playing field. These new smartphones, while fantastic, also are troublesome for those that may be in the market for a new smartphone contract or an upgrade. In particular, those looking at AT&T will likely find themselves having a hard time selecting a device.

AT&T remains a premier destination for those looking for a growing 4G LTE network, those wanting to keep an unlimited data plan or for those that are looking for big smartphone lineup to choose from. AT&T possesses all three. Unfortunately, while having a big smartphone lineup is a good thing for AT&T, it makes things difficult on consumers who are thinking of taking their money to Ma Bell.

In the past few months, AT&T, like Verizon and other U.S. carriers, has adopted several new big name smartphones that have joined its previous high-end devices on shelves. Again, this is exciting, but probably not for those that haven’t been following the smartphone market closely.

For those that haven’t choosing a new smartphone can be a spellbinding process. If not approached carefully, it can quickly turn into a disaster. It’s not fun having to endure a two-year contract with a smartphone that has worn thin.

AT&T, like the other carriers, has devices that are its best of the best, the cream of the crop. Here, we take a look at the smartphones that should be on any smartphone shoppers list, the ones that we feel are the five best AT&T smartphones for the month of June.

Maybe the best thing about the iPhone 5 is its longevity. This is a phone that will easily withstand a two year contract, with support from Apple all the way through.

Let's not also forget that its specifications still hold up with the best that Android and Windows Phone have to offer, making it an appealing choice for those looking for a new smartphone on AT&T in June.
