The 5 Best Sprint Smartphones [June, 2013]

The smartphone world, like summer, is now in full swing and that means consumers looking for a new smartphone are going to have some tough choices to make, particularly on a carrier like Sprint where the lineup is chock full of quality smartphones including several of the big names that have arrived on shelves this year.

The first part of 2013 was relatively quiet for all U.S. carriers as manufacturers opted to slow things down in terms of devices. The shelves of 2013 may be lighter than they were a year ago but that doesn’t that there aren’t tons of options on the table. No, this year’s stable of smartphones has presented the same tough choices to consumers looking to buy a new device.

That’s certainly the case on Sprint, the third largest service provider in the United States and a carrier that continues to offer pure unlimited data to consumers coming onto its growing 4G LTE network.

The Now Network remains a choice destination for those looking to retain unlimited data in a world of overage charges, shared data plans and throttling. Helping matters is that Sprint’s 4G LTE network continues to gain steam with the carrier set to expand across a wide swath of land in the next six months. Unlimited data and LTE service make the carrier an attractive destination, but so does the carrier’s smartphone lineup.

Sprint, like the other big name service providers, has shored up its spectrum of devices with a few big name smartphone launches that took place in the past few months. And while this is exciting for those that are looking to buy a new smartphone, it also helps to complicate things as it makes settling on a device extremely difficult.

Here, in an attempt to clear things up for shoppers, we take a look at the devices we consider to be the five best Sprint smartphones for the month of June, 2013.

As is the case on AT&T and Verizon, the iPhone 5 is still a force on Sprint and one of the best smartphone options that money can buy.

The iPhone 5's strengths lie in the things that matter most to consumers: Great looking on-screen content, fantastic battery life on LTE, a high quality design, and software that will be continued to be update for years to come.

Indeed, the device remains expensive but that price is worth the cost of admission particularly on Sprint where the device can be paired with unlimited data.
