As we’ve seen in prior years, Huawei is pretty quick to software updates. However, an actual release date is still a complete mystery, just like which devices will actually get updated in the near future. We know a bunch of phones will get a slice of Pie before the end of the year, but most updates will arrive in 2019.

We thought that after the Huawei Mate 20 Pro arrived we'd see several updates quickly begin, as it's the first phone from the company running Android Pie out of the box. However, we're not seeing updates arrive as fast as we expected.  

Basically, high-end devices like the P20 Pro or Mate 10 Pro are first on the list to software upgrades, or jus got it. Then, they’ll slowly work down internal lists to other popular phones like the Honor 8.
