Barnes & Noble's Nook is still one of the biggest brand names in the tablet market and the company will be rolling out a new version of the Nook, called the Nook HD, in time for the holiday season.
The Nook HD will be arriving on November 1st and it will bring a brilliant 7-inch HD display that features 1440 x 900-pixel resolution as well as an extremely lightweight design which makes it a top-tier device in terms of portability. It features 8GB of storage with an microSD card slot for expandable storage and comes without ad support, something that Amazon brings along with its Kindle Fire HD. It also of course will users access to Barnes & Noble's massive selection of content including books and movies. Like the Nexus 7, it starts at $199 and a 16GB model will check in with a cheaper $229.99 price tag.
