Top 5 Smartphones to Consider Before Buying the Galaxy S4 [June, 2014]

Take a look at the HTC One before buying the Samsung Galaxy S4 in June. We've purposely left the name ambiguous because we think that both the HTC One M7, last year's model and this year's HTC One M8 are both worthy of consideration this month.

Last year's HTC One was the Galaxy S4's biggest Android competitor. It features a solid display, camera, metal design, and a whole lot more. This year's HTC One M8 improves on last year's model by delivering a bigger display, improved design, and improved camera technology.

The HTC models both run Sense 6 which is much different than Samsung's TouchWiz UI that it puts over Android. Many people prefer Sense to TouchWiz and consumers would be wise to both through the paces before deciding on their next smartphone.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC One M7 is now a cheap, but solid option. The HTC One M8 is also very affordable through retailers like Amazon.

you have mentioned the Moto X in this list but what about the Nexus 5 ? Normally it is considered to be better than the moto x . Can you please explain the reasons for leaving out the Nexus 5 . Actually I am considering buying the nexus 5 but your exclusion of this device in this list leaves me confused.

    Wait, what?

An article about leading cell phones premised on the idea that the Galaxy line is one of the most visible, highest quality, most capable cell phone lines out there?

An article about cell phones that doesn’t highlight that annoying fruit company with their under powered, over priced, locked down, tiny screen catch-up phones?

    Where is the fruit-mania?

Is the world starting to become sane?

You mentioned all crap phones and left iPhone 5S out? You need to get enough technical knowledge on the smartphones before you start writing suggestions for buyers.
*Highly recommend using iPhone 5S for few days before you write the next article*

I have Galaxy S4 from almost 1 year and drop down the plan to purchase Galaxy S5 because the latest kitkat version i.e. 4.4.2 is available on Galaxy S4 and I recently updated it. However, its battery performance is affected in this 1 year but I recently purchased a wireless charger for it to keep it fully charged in order to explore more apps and features.
