While it appears that Toshiba may have registered the Thrive brand in the U.S. with the USPTO, the company may be using the Regza moniker in its home country of Japan. According to Netbook News, the Toshiba Regza will see a release in June in Japan with pricing of around 723 USD.
The Japanese edition will also be pre-bundled with a Regza Connect app, which would allow the tablet to communicate with other Regza products around the home. The Toshiba tablet will feature a 10.1-inch 1280 X 800 display–similar to the Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1, a dual-core Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1 GHz, and 16 GB of on-board storage. It will also have a USB port, micro USB port, and SD card reader.
Other features include a high contrast display that’s very viewable outdoors under sunlight as well as a display that upscales images and videos to provide crisper graphics.
