The Toshiba U925t is a new Ultrabook from Toshiba that slides out and pops up to switch from a tablet to a notebook.
Toshiba announced the U925t before CES 2013, but was on hand to show off the relatively new Windows 8 Ultrabook Convertible at various events.
Ultrabook Convertibles fall into two categories, notebooks that become tablets and tablets that become notebooks. The Toshiba U925t is clearly a tablet that becomes a notebook, compared to the Dell XPS 12 which is frist a notebook that slides into tablet mode.
Whereas some Windows 8 Ultrabook Convertibles like the Yoga 13 and Dell XPS 12 are tough to use in tablet mode due to od weight distribution, the Toshiba Satellite U925t feels like a tablet that just so happens to include a keyboard.

The Toshiba Satellite U925t felt good to hold as a tablet during our short time with the Ultrabook Convertible. Toshiba designed the U925t so users can hold it in portrait or landscape mode while using it as a tablet.
Users will appreciate the display which offers a variety of angles, something users won’t find on the Sony VAIO DUO, which opens to a fixed angle when the keyboard is in use.
Toshiba includes two cameras on the U925t, a front facing webcam for video chat and a rear facing camera revealed when users slide the tablet partially open.
The Toshiba Satellite u925t weighs 3.2 pounds and measures 0.8mm thick. While this is more than twice as heavy as the iPad, the balanced weight gives it an edge on Ultrabook Convertible competitors.
The Satellite U925t retails for $1,149 with an Intel Core i5 processor, Intel HD graphics, 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD. The slim Ultrabook includes a HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports and a 12.5-inch 1366 x 768 resolution display.
