Verizon has approved not one, but two Jelly Bean updates today, with both the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 receiving their upgrades to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

In typical fashion, the carrier has confirmed the availability of both the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Jelly Bean updates through its software pages for both devices. The confirmation means that both tablets should be seeing the software rolling out Over-the-Air in the next few days.

Verizon typically rolls out its updates in phases which means that while some owners might be able to find the update through the About section today, others will likely be out of luck. That said, owners of both devices will want to head into their Settings to see the if the updates are available. If they are, there should be a prompt to download and install. And once that process is complete, the devices will be taken from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is going to be a huge upgrade for both the Verizon Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 as it features a number of improved features from Android 4.0.

The new software features a new smoother UI, Google Now, improved multitasking and widgets, and a whole lot more. In addition, both will also be getting some enhancements.
