Verizon HTC One Android 4.3 Update Release Still On Track

Earlier this month, HTC promised that it would roll out the Verizon HTC One Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update by the end of October. Software updates, particularly those on Verizon, often see their release dates change extremely quickly but it appears that all is well in the land of Verizon as HTC President Jason Mackenzie has reassured owners that the software is still on track for October despite missing its September deadline.

Several weeks ago, HTC made a bold promise to owners of the HTC One in the United States saying that it would skip the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update and roll out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 enhancements in September. The company ultimately failed to deliver on that promise, but only by a few days. In early October, HTC announced that the Sprint HTC One Android 4.3 update roll out had begun and that the other three updates were on their way soon.

Specifically, the company promised the AT&T HTC One update and T-Mobile HTC One update by mid-October and the Verizon HTC One update before the month of October ends. So far, HTC has delivered on those promises as the AT&T HTC One Android 4.3 update rolled out earlier this week. T-Mobile owners wondering when their update might arrive were told, by Mackenzie, that their update is on track.

Fortunately, he is saying the same thing to inquiring Verizon HTC One owners who are worried about the prospects of their update. Much to the delight of owners across the U.S., Mackenzie says that the update is still on track and that the company is working with Verizon to get it delivered before the end of the month. This is a great sign for owners but it’s also likely going to be HTC’s response to all questions about the roll out for the time being.

It’s clear that the process isn’t complete and that a roll out date hasn’t been settled on so Verizon HTC One owners simply need to trust that HTC is going to make things right. It delivered with the AT&T update and at the moment, there is no reason to doubt that the update won’t be ready.

When the update does arrive, it will be toting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean features along with enhancements to the company’s Sense 5 software that made its debut alongside the HTC One back in February. Rumors suggest that the HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat update will follow in the footsteps of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

Jason McKenzie is a bullshitter. His mantra “by the end of the month” means nothing. He ought to be in congress. Why does anyone keep quoting this guy. He is a HTC flake with no authority.

Jason Mckenzie will is full of shit. That’s why HTC is going out of business any day now. They are BLEEDING cash and have no way to stop the holes. The HTC one is a great phone unfortunately it will not save them.
