The Galaxy S6 is available on a number of major and minor U.S. carriers including AT&T and Verizon. The Galaxy S6 Edge is only available on major U.S. carriers. It's possible that the Galaxy Note 5 will follow the Galaxy S6 Edge though that remains unconfirmed.

The Galaxy Note series has never been adopted by smaller regional carriers. Its always stuck to the five major U.S. carriers. So, it came as no surprise to us when an early Galaxy Note 5 release rumor pegged AT&T and Verizon as Galaxy Note 5 carriers in the United States. These carriers are likely. So are Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. 

Given the Galaxy Note series' history, we would not plan on the Galaxy Note 5 coming to smaller regional or pre-paid carriers. This is important to keep in mind if you're planning to buy on someone like MetroPCS or Boost Mobile.
