Last but absolutely not least, is the price. The Nexus 6 was an expensive smartphone. So bad in fact, you could almost buy two of the Nexus 5 for one Nexus 6.
The Nexus 5 as $349 for 16GB and $399 for the 32GB. The Nexus 6 was $649 for the 32GB and $699 for the 64GB. It's now been discounted to $499 and $549, but still very expensive. According to the latest news out of China and from various sources, Google looks to revert back to a more affordable developer-friendly Nexus price.
The Nexus 5 (2015) will reportedly try to hit the same $349 and $399 price point. Or be $399 for the 32GB, and $449 for the 64GB. This is just a rumor, but if September really is the release date we can expect more details, leaks and rumors to surface in the very near future. |
