Madden 17 Features Wishlist: 10 Changes We Want

What new Madden 17 features will EA add to the NFL game in 2016 to set it apart from Madden 16 and convince players that it is worth buying? We don’t know just yet what EA Sports will change for Madden 17, but we know what we want EA to fix for the new Madden game this year.

After playing hours and hours of Madden 16, there are a lot of things EA got right, but there are still small details and major issues that we want to see EA Sports iron out for the upcoming Madden 17 release later this year.

EA confirmed Madden 17 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 so we know the game is coming. Sorry Wii U and PC, no Madden 17 for you this year.

Here is our Madden 17 features wishlist with what we want changed and upgraded.

The Madden 17 release date is August 23rd, but you will learn a little bit about the game at 6PM Eastern, 3 PM Pacific on May 12th on Sports Center. There is still time for EA Sports to address some of these issues and add to the Madden 17 features that arrive in the game.

Some of the Madden 17 features on our wishlist address gameplay while others include the basic usage of the game while grinding through Ultimate Team or trying to play Madden 17 against a friend on Xbox Live or PSN.

Make the Madden 17 Party System Work

Make the Madden 17 Party System Work

Have you tried to play Madden 16 online with a friend? If you are lucky you can party up and start a game and if the Internet gods smile on you it is possible to finish a game.

It's not clear why EA Sports continues to make joining a party and accepting a game invite so convoluted that you need to press a button at exactly the right time, if it pops up, but that's been the case for the last several years.

After the first month and a half of playing Madden 16, we could finally join a party and start playing without a ton of issues, but the slightest connection hiccup would leave the game stuck. Often this would boot one player and the game was over.

There are some connection issues in games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, but if they can string together a match of eight or more players reliably it is mind-boggling that EA Sports, a company that made an insane amount of money last quarter, cannot invest to deliver reliable online play.

Here's our simple Madden 17 feature request. Let me join a party, connect to a friend and play against them for three games without crashing. Bonus points if I can hear them talk over the Madden 17 fans and music without changing settings.
