As the title suggests, the Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif DLC is based on the the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One movie which is set for release in mid-December during the holidays.

Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif DLC Release Date
Originally, EA DICE said that its fourth Star Wars Battlefront DLC would arrive in early 2017. That's changed. For everyone.
The Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif DLC release date was released for Season Pass holders on December 6th, just a few days before the release of the Rogue One movie on December 16th. This release date is for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
This is the release date isn't for everyone though. It's for those who've purchased the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass holders. Everyone else will get access to the Rogue One: Scarif DLC two weeks from now in mid-December.
Amazon, and other retailers, are listing a December 20th release date for those who don't possess the Season Pass.
