LG G2 Deal Drops Price to Insane Low

Published

on

A new LG G2 deal drops the former flagship’s price to an insane low just days ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch and the rumored iPhone 6 release date.

As we push deeper and deeper into the year, we’re starting to see deals emerge for last year’s crop of flagship smartphones. We’ve seen iPhone 5s deals emerge ahead of the iPhone 6 release, Galaxy Note 3 deals appear ahead of the Galaxy Note 4 release and today, we’ve spotted an absurd LG G2 deal that might just trump them all.

eBay is currently offering a staggering deal on a manufacturer refurbished version of the 32GB LG G2 that drops the unlocked price down $360 to an absurd $240 price point. That’s a whopping 60% savings on its usual price tag and it makes this LG G2 deal a deal worth looking at given how good the LG G2 smartphone is.

The LG G2 arrived just ahead of the iPhone 5s last year and found itself lost in the shuffle. Sad, because the LG G2 was one of the best smartphones from last year. The LG G2 offers buyers a spacious 1080p display, a solid camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a speedy quad-core processor, a UI that’s as good as the TouchWiz software on Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones, Android 4.4 KitKat, and a design that offers some nifty quirks. It also is in possession of some incredible battery life.

While it’s getting older, its hardware can still hang, and there’s a good chance that it will be getting Google’s Android L update down the road. An LG G2 Android L release date hasn’t been confirmed but it looks like it will find itself amongst the big name devices that receive Google’s replacement for Android 4.4 KitKat.

Of course, consumers must keep in mind that the LG G2 has since been replaced by the newer, and arguably better LG G3, a device that has also seen some deals emerge in recent weeks as it looks to keep pace with the two big name devices in September.

In September, Samsung and Apple are expected to debut their next-gen smartphones and competitors to both the LG G3 and LG G2. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 launch date is confirmed for September 3rd and it’s there that we expect to hear a lot more about what the Galaxy Note 4 is going to offer to consumers.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 4 is rumored to have a 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a new 16MP camera with OIS, Android 4.4 KitKat, and a design that could combine both metal and plastic. Those specs have firmed up over several weeks of rumors though they remain unconfirmed in the build up to Samsung’s Unpacked event.

Galaxy Note 4 release date rumors have continued to point to a quick arrival in an effort to take on the iPhone 6. Rumors have singled out the week of September 15th as a possible release window for the Galaxy Note 4 though that remains unconfirmed. By comparison, last year’s Galaxy Note 3 launched September 4th and was released on September 25th. The Galaxy Note 4 will almost certainly be followed by an iPhone 6 launch.

iPhone 6 rumors have continually pointed to a redesign and recently, we’ve seen rumors and leaks align around some very specific iPhone 6 design details. Apple’s new iPhone 6 design is rumored to feature more metal than the iPhone 5s, ditching the glass top and bottom parts on the back of the phone for a full metal back cover. It’s also rumored to be thin, perhaps as thin as 7mm, and feature a front panel that’s protected by sapphire material.

Apple is expected to debut both iPhones on September 9th with a release date coming shortly thereafter, perhaps on September 19th. This remains unconfirmed but what is clear is that prospective LG G2 buyers are going to have a ton of options at their disposal in just a few short weeks.
