Varied Combat

While it's fun to go around shooting bad guys with your weapons, it's also nice to have varied gameplay elements. And it looks like Naughty Dog has added several new wrinkles to Drake's repertoire of moves and that has us excited. 

Not only are there new ways for him to fight off enemies but there also appear to be new ways for him to traverse his surroundings. For instance, it looks like the game will include a grappling hook and rope that allows for new types of movement. 

The directors also say that they've included "a new cover mechanic so he’s even lower than before, then crawling on all fours, blind firing to hit a guy and stagger him, the smash him against a wall, climb up onto a shack, then the hook and rope might become available and you can choose whether to use that or carry on along the ground."
