10 Things to Do Before Installing iOS 9.1
Step 9: Look Into the iOS 9.0.2 Downgrade Process
![]() | |||||||||||
If you run into iOS 9.1 problems on your device, you'll want to seek out fixes because Apple probably won't release an iOS 9.1.1 update tomorrow. But what if those fixes don't work? You might want to downgrade to iOS 9.0.2. You can no longer downgrade to iOS 8, iOS 9.0, iOS 9.0.1, or iOS 9.0.2 but you can downgrade to iOS 9.0.2. For the time being. Apple typically closes the loophole about a week or two after an update's release so the clock starts now. Look into the downgrade process right now, before you install iOS 9.1 on your device. That way, you won't be scrambling if you do run into an iOS 9.1 problem on your phone or tablet.

I updated iPad to 9.1 last night 10/27/15. This morning, Google app won’t open and bricks the device. It took me 3 tries to get iPad to shut down so I could reboot. NEVER had a problem before 9.1. Confidence? I think not

I don’t know about the google app but I lost all my contacts and cannot re-load them. This is a big problem – any fixes?
