The Nexus 5X is getting older but the device should receive Android releases for the next year or so. The company recently said it couldn't guarantee Android version updates after September 2017 meaning Android Oreo will most likely be the last major operating system upgrade for the Nexus 5X. An official move to Android P is unlikely. Originally, Google said it planned to stop security updates in September, 2018. Those plans have apparently changed. The company now says it plans to roll out security patches to the Nexus 5X through November 2018. After that, support will stop and you'll be on your own. | ||||||||
