Samsung Galaxy S Mini Looks Like Smaller Galaxy S Meets with iPhone 4

Published

on

Leaked images of the Galaxy S Mini, model number Samsung S5830, reveal a device that looks like a cross between a Galaxy S smartphone with Apple’s iPhone 4 down to the silver strip that runs around the sides of the Galaxy S Mini, reminiscent of the stainless steel antenna band around the iPhone.

According to Unwired View, the S5830 is expected to debut at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, along with Samsung’s plans for a Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab successor.

The device is expected to launch with Android 2.2 Froyo, which may be stale to some power users as Google had launched Android 2.3 Gingerbread a few weeks ago. The device is expected to get a HVGA display, rather than the WVGA resolution of the larger Galaxy S, along with WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB support, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and micro SDHC storage card.

It’s unclear at this time, however, if the device will support Samsung’s Super AMOLED displays found on the original Galaxy S smartphones, a Super AMOLED Plus displays as found on more recent Samsung smartphones announced at CES, or if the device will utilize traditional LCD display or AMOLED display technology.

“The only thing apple is good at is design”: I completely disagree. Look at how things evolved in time and you will see that Apple has the strongest R&D department in the world. Not only design, but ideas and technical solutions. What would the world of mobile devices be without Apple? Many, many, many buttons on all sides of the phones, many antennas, big, big phones etc. They usually set the trend through their products. And this is only 10% about design.

Usually, when people do not know what products to make, they look in Apple’s direction to find out what to do and how to do it.

Welcome to the real world indeed.

Come up with your own design? How about come up with your own patents! Dumass! There is no such thing as originality – how about apple never used to specialize in phones, fair for me to tell Apple to come up with their own trade? How about you come up with something else to fight Android other than trying to imply intellectual property theft?
