The HTC M7 is rumored to be HTC’s next flagship smartphone, replacing the HTC One X which launched last year as part of the company’s HTC One Series of devices. And while HTC hasn’t confirmed anything just yet, the company did push out invites to the press for an event in just a few weeks time. The purpose of the event is unknown but the HTC M7 seems likely. And if it is indeed the HTC M7 that launches, we should see carriers revealed as well.

The HTC M7 may launch on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile at launch, skipping Verizon until later.

According to the latest rumor, the HTC M7 could wind up launching on all four of the major U.S. carriers as opposed to the one that the HTC One X launched on last year. HTCSource, which has been credible in the past, claims that the device will have three launch partners in AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. All three of those have been rumored in the past.

Verizon is also rumored to be getting the device though its launch is being termed as “delayed.” There is no word on exactly why the device was delayed but it’s possible that Verizon wants some more distance between the launch of the HTC M7 and the Droid DNA, a phone with a similar design, that launched back in November.

How long the delay might be is anyone’s guess at this point, and it’s unconfirmed as to whether there is a delay at all, but those looking for a Verizon model at launch may wind up being disappointed come February 19th. A Verizon variant is apparently still in the works however.

The HTC M7 is rumored to be HTC’s big smartphone launch of the first half of 2013 though it appears that the company is poised to deliver two other devices as well in the HTC G2 and HTC M4.

The HTC M7 is rumored to have a 4.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Droid DNA style design, Android Jelly Bean likely Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a release date in early March, possibly March 8th.

That is disappointing for sure. I will be upgrading my phone the end of April, I was considering this phone or the GS4.. hopefully HTC M7 (HTC One) will not debut too late.
