Here is how you can watch the NFL Preseason live stream options so you can watch the NFL preseason games with or without cable. The NFL Preseason streaming guide below walks you through the options to watch the nationally televised games, your favorite teams and replays on your TV, iPhone, iPad and Android.
There is one way to watch the NFL preseason live free of any added fees, but for most of the NFL Preseason streaming options there is a fee. Unfortunately the NFL Preseason Live service from earlier years is no longer available. The NFL does offer an official option to watch the 2015 NFL Preseason live, but it comes with a bigger price and only delivers replays of regular season games.
Once again the NFL Sunday Ticket package from DirecTV does not include access to NFL Preseason games
Here is a fast run through of where you can watch the NFL Preseason live streams on your phone, TV, tablet or connected device.
Watch NFL Preseason Live Free
You can watch the NFL Preseason live free on Verizon smartphones if you are already a Verizon customer. You’ll need the NFL Mobile app and a Verizon smartphone that is connected to a current plan. A Verizon plan is not free, but you do not need to pay extra to watch the NFL preseason games.
With this app and a Verizon device you can watch the 2015 NFL Preseason live streams for Nationally broadcast games on CBS, ESPN, FOX and NBC. You can also watch the games on NFL Network, although they may be blacked out if airing locally.
The biggest catch to watching these games is that you can only watch the NFL Preseason games live that are airing in your region. So a Miami Dolphins fan in Ohio is still going to be watching the Browns, Steelers and Bengals play instead of the Dolphins. You will need to allow your phone to share location data with the app to watch these games.
Watch NFL Preseason Live Stream on ESPN
Another way to watch the 2015 NFL preseason live stream on your iPhone, iPad, Android and other connected devices is to watch the games on ESPN. This works with Watch ESPN and in the new DirecTV app that now streams ESPN.
IF you don’t have cable, you can get a Sling TV subscription that includes ESPN and access to Watch ESPN with the $19.99 a month price. There is a free 7-day Sling TV trial for all and a 30-day free trial for Xbox One owners.
Watch ESPN lets you watch the 2015 NFL Preseason live on the following devices;
- Amazon FireTV
- Amazon Kindle Fire
- Android Smartphones and Tablets
- Apple TV
- iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
- Windows 8
- Windows 10
- Apple Computers in a Browser
- Xbox One
- Xbox 360
You’ll need to download the app on your device and sign in with a participating cable or satellite company to watch.
With DirecTV, you need to use the new DirecTV app that includes ESPN streaming inside the app behind your DirecTV login.
There is no extra charge for access to Watch ESPN on top of what you already pay for cable, satellite or Sling TV.
NFL Preseason Streaming Live with Game Pass
The NFL dropped the NFL Preseason Live service that delivered all of the preseason games live on mobile devices for $29.99 in favor of a new NFL GamePass service that is $99.99 for the season with a free 7 day trial.
This includes all NFL Preseason live streams, but it only offers replays of the regular season games. The preseason live stream is great, but many users will not want to pay the high price just to watch on demand replays of the NFL games. This package does include live audio for the NFL games and condensed games as well as other options.
